CLUB PRESS RELEASE
By Bashley Football Club | Tuesday 23rd June 2015
Pre-Season training for Bashley FC begins on Tuesday 30th June at Priestlands
School in Pennington from 7:00pm. New manager David Stride (ex-Chelsea,
Millwall and Leyton Orient) asked that players who believe they are of Southern
League standard or if given the opportunity could be, come along and introduce
themselves and join in.
Many of our players last year have had many opportunity’s open up for them
through playing in the Southern League which had they remained at a lower level
would not have happened.
Stride said; “I believe that players will develop better and quicker if they actually
play a level rather than sitting around waiting for an opportunity at a club or for an
opportunity that may never come along.”
At Bashley we believe that with David’s expertise, coupled with Southern League
football, Bashley FC is possibly the best opportunity for quality young players to
progress quicker up the football pyramid in the South.
Stride added; “Too many players tend to wait for an approach from clubs rather
than trialling, I hope this will create an opportunity for good players to come over
and put themselves forward.”
Our reserve team is very useful, finishing as Champions last year losing only two
league games all season. With both squads training together most of the time all
the players tend to integrate well which was represented with in excess of
twenty players organised their own trip away at the end of the season.
For more information please contact us via email at email@example.com or
just come along to one of our early season open training sessions which will be
posted on our Facebook, Twitter and Fans Forum which can all be accessed via
