CLEVEDON 3 BASHLEY 1 (MANAGER'S VIEW)
By Graham Speechley-Price | Tuesday 9th September 2014
Having made the long journey to Clevedon we were expecting with our current
progress to bring a result back to Bashley with us. Our keeper could do nothing with
the three goals we conceded and made one save of note during the game.
In contrast we hit the post twice felt we were denied a penalty missed two headers in
front of goal and their keeper pulled off two fantastic saves alongside a few routine
ones. Our effort and character were first class but we need to eradicate the errors
which have clearly cost us points again.
Our younger players are improving game on game and without finance to bring in
experience we are going to have to be patient but I’m sure given time Bashley will
have some very good young players.
The frustrating thing was being told yet again what a good side we are and there’s no
way we will go down, and I agree, but we need to grow as a team quickly before there
is too much ground to make up.
