They say hindsight is a wonderful thing. We set the team up completely wrong as our
first half performance clearly showed and gave the lads an uphill battle in the second
half. We were careless with the ball and our movement was poor so there’s a lot for
us to work on in training.
Credit to Winchester City for a very disciplined and professional performance but we
genuinely approached the game with the belief that we could progress. I would like to
thank the supporters for turning out in their numbers again (160) and can assure
them that we will be more offensive against Bishops Cleeve on Saturday.
On a plus note our reserves won 3-0 and I was led to believe that but for chances
missed it should have been greater so well done to Martin and the lads that
represented the club. There were apparently some good individual performances so
they will come into consideration for Saturday.
We have made an approach to Sholing for one of their players and we are hopeful of
adding two new additions in ten days so we are still working hard to improve the
